Dolce & Gabbana is organized into main labels: D&G (casual, street, cheaper) and Dolce&Gabbana (luxurious, designer label,costs more, says more.

Both lines offer beachwear, underwear, eyewear (ophthalmic & sunglasses) and fragrances. The D&G line also carries the jewelry and watches

D&G Junior is a separate line aimed at children under the age of 13.

In 2005, the designers teamed up with Motorola for the first time to produce a Special Edition Gold RAZR V3i which was limited to 1000 phones and distributed by D&G boutiques and major Motorola retailers. This collaboration was renewed in 2006 for another release.

Who Are These D&G guys what’s the Goss?

Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce have been designing together since 1985. They were a flamboyant couple who were considered inseparable until… they separated in 2005, after nearly 20 years. The company stays the same, they continue to design together.

“On a professional level we are still together…we work together wonderfully well, we have a very strong understanding. What happened in the past is still there, it continues and will continue forever. We have a very strong love."

Other Interesting Stuff

Dolce & Gabbana was publicly criticized by Britain's advertising watchdog Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) in January 2007, for an advertising campaign showing models brandishing knives.

The ads, showed two men holding a wounded women and two men threatening a man in a chair while another lay on the floor with a head wound.

The ad could be seen as condoning and glorifying knife-related violence," the ASA said of the Times advert. "It was irresponsible." Dolce & Gabbana said the adverts drew no complaints when they were published in China, Europe, Hong Kong, Japan and the United States.

. Gold has long been an element in D&G's collections, being it their jewellery, ready-to-wear, accessories, and now restaurant décor.

.Gold has several levels including a downstairs bistro that opens at lunchtime and a more formal upstairs that serves dinner only.

“the golden theme isn't necessarily intended to represent money and luxury but more importantly gold is "an upbeat, sunny color" that signifies a "taste for beauty and for sensual pleasure."
